It sounds like your friend has been buying into the "death panels" canard, about which <a href="http://factcheck.org/2009/08/palin-vs-obama-death-panels/" rel="nofollow">factcheck has a good post</a> specifying how big a pile of bullshit it is. For unbiased info, factcheck.org is always a good place to start. Right now it’s pretty much all health care issue stuff, since that’s what’s going on.
